Columbia Engineering School Hosts Panel Discussion on New York and the Electric Car Columbias Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science The panelists include Earth Institute Director Jeffrey Sachs; Doherty Senior Scholar in the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory and Adjunct Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences Roger Anderson; Line Director for General Motorss Chevy Volt electric car Tony Posawatz; Director of Research and Development, Power Supply, at ConEdison, Arthur Kressner; and Earth Institute Director of Sustainable Mobility Lawrence Burns. Keynote speakers include John Gilbert, Executive Vice President of Rudin Management. The panel will be moderated by Kathleen Deveny of Newsweek magazine. GMs Chevy Volt, which will be available starting in the fall of 2010, will be on display at the engineering schools plaza near the entrance to the Mudd building.
